About Me
Hello, fellow internet user! My name is Andrea Giuri, I’m from Italy and I’m an Electrical Engineering student in Stanford Class of 2028. I’m mainly interested in Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems and Photonics/Optics. I am a researcher in the Dionne Lab, where I design conductive metasurfaces for Raman Spectroscopy. Since my Freshman spring, I’m also a Teaching Assistant for ENGR40M, the intro to EE class.
In high school, I earned a Bronze Medal at IPhO 2023 and competed in the national Math and Chemistry Olympiads, but my interests extend beyond academics. I am passionate about astrophotography (especially deep-sky imaging) and have even carried out photometric measurements; beyond that, I also enjoy traditional and underwater photography, as well as 3D rendering in Blender. I am a musician too: I play the drums (Yamaha Grade 6), but began with the piano, and developed perfect pitch through my studies. To stay active, I swim and dive; the photo shows me a year after earning my Open Water Diver certification, near a shipwreck in the open sea.
I hope you have a good time reading my blog. Clear Skies!
